Independent character division projection method on multiple planes
In recent years, information presentation using projection mapping technology has become widespread. Along with this, development of new applications using projectors represented is required. With the current projection method, only stationary plane projection is targeted, and the projection cannot be switched according to the position. Therefore, we are studying the realization of different projections on multiple planes at multiple positions by combining the light of two projectors without changing the projection pattern.

Concepts of character division projection

Dividing the characters has the effect of not being recognized as characters when reflected on other projection surfaces. As a result, it is not necessary to cancel the projected projection, and high-contrast projection can be performed.

Character projection principle

By determining the drawing position so that the generated image is shared in one place, the position where the image is generated is reduced and the projection surface is used effectively.

Character segmentation method that is hard to recognize reflection

Character projection has various parameters such as distribution, size, and color. Therefore, we are studying the conditions under which reflections are hardly recognized as characters for each parameter.

Character projection principle

In order to expand the common area of the projection area between the two projectors, the conventional method used a parallel projector setup. So, there was a problem that big characters could not be projected. The proposed method uses a setup in which the projector can be tilted at about 45 degrees to project big characters. This makes it possible to project large characters.
