3D Animation Creation System based on Auto-structurization Method
This research provides system that an individual or small-scale organization can create 3D animation contents even without professional equipment and skill and control 3D animation with gesture operation on tablet device. A measuring object person can be used directly as an avater for game and so on.
This is a joint research project with Kyoto Sangyo University.

3D animation capturing system
Capturing several motions using Kinect.
The system creates the state transition graph based on pose of polygon mesh. But, there are some gaps between polygonmesh and skeleton that estimated by Kinect.

Automatic creating state transition graph
Exemplar-base replace skeleton method
The system calculates distance between each polygon mesh and detects the pair of frames that has the highest similality. Then default skeletons are replaced with exemplar skeletons that match the polygon mesh.

After the system detects the pair of skeletons that has the highest similaliry, a state transition graph is generated considering similarity of poses of polygon meshes.

3D animation viewing system
Users can view multiple 3D animation following the state transition graph and control animation with a gesture operation.
